Checking whether the mountain is out over Tacoma…

About

Why transportation

I ride the 594 between Tacoma and Seattle, and that bus shapes my week more than any plan I've read. Ride Together Pierce featured my story about it in October 2025, and it's still the clearest answer I have for why I do this work.

My family has been in Pierce County for six generations, rooted in Ruston and Proctor. I came to planning through information technology and project management at Central Washington University, then finished a Master of Urban Planning at the University of Washington in 2026.

At the City of Bellevue I work on the Transportation Demand Management team, supporting Choose Your Way Bellevue and the Commute Trip Reduction program. I build the data tools the team relies on and spend a lot of time at tables, schools, and transit stations talking with people about how they get around.
